Pencils Ink Tutoring Programs in Schools 

Pencils Ink is a dynamic education initiative dedicated to helping students thrive academically through targeted, in-school and afterschool tutoring support. Built by educators for educators, our tutoring programs are grounded in research-based instructional strategies, aligned with Common Core standards, and designed to accelerate student achievement—especially for students in underserved or underperforming schools.

We specialize in small-group and individualized tutoring for students in grades K–5, focusing on foundational skills in ELA and Math, with a special emphasis on closing learning gaps, improving reading fluency and comprehension, and building confidence in problem-solving. Our tutors are trained to work within the school day and afterschool hours, partnering closely with teachers, support staff, and school leadership to ensure instruction is aligned and responsive to student needs.

All Pencils Ink tutors are either licensed educators, teaching assistants, or college-level education majors who receive ongoing coaching and training. We believe that effective tutoring isn’t just about helping students “catch up”—it’s about building their capacity to grow, question, and succeed independently.
